In the Community
Allscripts believes that giving back to our communities is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen. In that spirit, we support our employees in their efforts to give back by providing them paid days off to participate in community education, charity and non-profit events. And we allocate money for each company location to invest in causes they select that have a local impact.
Allscripts commitment to giving back begins at the top with CEO Glen Tullman, who is chairman of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Illinois’ campaign to raise $100 million to fund juvenile diabetes research. Thanks to Glen’s leadership and our employees’ generosity, in 2006 and 2007, Allscripts was named “Top Contributor” to the Community Health Charities of Illinois (CHCI), the state’s largest workplace-giving program dedicated solely to health causes. CHCI recognized Allscripts for “Best Overall Campaign” for having the highest payroll deduction participation of any company in the state.
